Temperature raises over the top when Cara and Kiel are in the same room together. There is history between them and apparently not the best ones still, when they found each other again in the New York Airport sparks fly like they seem to have happened in the past. Kiel is in NYC for a job interview but, the thought of how he got the interview for the NYC newspaper escapes him, yet he has an odd feeling about it. Ones that are confirmed when he sees her again, Cara.
In between hurt feelings and all other stuff that happened a few years back, this two keep seeing each other and Kiel knows that Cara needs or wants something from him, the things is that there are too many things in the way. On top of it all, they have an Italian mobster after Kiel, because he wants Cara for himself. The last thing they need is to be close to Kame, Kiel's brother, but circumstances force them to reach for Kiel's family in Washington. What will happen when the brothers face one another? More important what will Kane do when he gets face to face with the woman that destroyed his brother's life once, and the brother that sent him bloodied and beaten back to Washington?
Is kind of a different vibe from the rest of the books that Chelle has written previously, but is needed. Also, it is done very carefully. Had so much fun reading this one. Love the differences I could see in the style of writing of both authors. A must read. There is violence in this book, but I still recommend it for those who like some action in their books.
