REVIEW: ASHER (INK BROTHERHOOD BOOK #1) BY JO RAVEN

BETH'S REVIEW

ASHER (INKED BROTHERHOOD BOOK #1)
BY JO RAVEN

5 STARS

It doesn't surprise me ASHER is a top 100 on New York Times and USA Today bestseller!!!! Congrats to Jo Raven, read the prequel short story and I'm already in love with the series.  In this story we have a glimpse at many of the characters that Jo Raven will write about in the rest books of the series. I am not gonna play hook up, and will stay on track with Asher's story.

By the beginning of this book Asher is an older young adult, a lost soul that carries the burden of having lost too many people he loved, he is struggling to try to do many things to reach his goals, is not easy, he has lived in the street and many things have happened to him, product of the way his father treated him.  As he tries to succeed in getting out of the streets and progress he finds the girl of his dreams the only one he has ever loved, Audrey is back in town after a terrible loss, to study and make new friends.  She is trying to start over, but what will happen once she finds Asher again.  This two characters have had so many things happen to them through the course of the book and even before, that you find yourself rooting for their happiness and for a HEA.

This is an amazing story and excellently written, great progression and the interactions between the characters in each story, and between all the characters throughout the 2 books, are flawless. A topic very well researched, it feels very realistic as you progress reading the book, Jo Raven my hat's off to you.

Compeling, another great story from MJ Carnal

Untamed (A Moretti Novel Book 5)Price: $2.99

Few are the books that make me she'd tears and with The Moretti Novels I'm on a roll. Untamed wasn't the exception, Steve is a great guy that has suffer a lot in life, holding on to a woman that doesn't deserve him. Lily is Sophie ' s best friend from colege, and in one visit took the tight group by storm, Steve included.

YOU CAN'T PASS THE OPORTUNITY TO READ THIS AND AL THE MORETTI NOVELS, WHICH I THINK THERE ARE OR WILL BE Six Of counting Rich and Molly's story that, I think, isn't out yet.

In this story it's stated the brilliant writing skills of MJ Carnal. There always seem to be a tragedy following this group of friends, but with tragedy comes the realization of time lost besides the one your born to be with, your soulmate. Steve ' s story is exquisitely written and one many can relate to.

KISS ME GOODBYE (PREQUEL TO THE INKED BROTHERHOOD SERIES)
BY JO RAVEN

5 STARS

Just done with Kiss Me Goodbye and  is a short prequel to Asher which is Book #1 of the Inked Brotherhood series.  Here Jo introduces us to all the guys: Asher, Dylan, Tyler, Rafe and Zane.  They are a group of friends with different interests and a whole amount of different problems.  Why are they such a tight neat group?  The common factor is all the suffering they have endured due to different circumstances, and because of that they are there taking care of one another and like that they formed a tight bond, one that will last forever. There is no judging between this group of friends, just the support they all have for the rest.  Here we learn that Asher is in love with Audrey and due to adult situations they are separated as Audrey and her family move to another town.  We also learn of the loss that is suffered and that we will hope will get resolved in the next story to come.

As we end our journey with the band Affliction,  we meet Rob Hancock,  Affliction's master drummer,  Aussie,  as the rest of the band members. Rob is the  most broken of the guys. He tries to deal with some recent changes in the band, and while that's happening, out comes Lily, an American girl Rob meets in L. A. Will we know what's really happening to Rob?  Will Lily reveal more of herself to him? Can the guys save him?

While you ponder on those questions, I'll tell you that Miss Cross has an exquisite ability to humanize the characters she creates, and that lets us know how much work she puts on them to give us a great and very well written stories.  Not only she creates the most amazing interactions between the main characters in the story, but between them and the ones that came before, all done without loosing the thread of each of their stories.

The last 3 books are companions to the Unexpected Trilogy, I recommend you read them all in order,  because if you don't, you will have a mayor spoiler problem in your hands. A classic story of true love, at least from Sasha's point of view. When our main male character, Mick Savage, finally realized that Sasha Montgomery was in love with him, all hell breaks loose between them.  The story has great content. As I always say about Amity Cross' books, she always leaves me wanting more. All of the books that make the Unexpected Series are spectacularly written, Mick and Sasha's story is not the exception. I was waiting for this one and I have to say I loved it a lot.

Loved Ink Reunited.  The story, while short, is very well told from all the characters POV's. Fell in love with Ian, Rafe and The Sassy, and Rafe's mom, being a latina, she reminds me of my mom, and how she is with my and my kids' friends,  she is as strong and wise as my mother.

You guys should get together and write updates on all the couples and trios. And about writing more about Sassy, bring it on, I love the 3 of them.

BETH'S REVIEW

HOOK ME
(MEN OF INKED BOOK #2)
BY CHELLE BLISS

 4 STARS

Hooked, that's what I became by this new installment in the Men of Inked Series by Chelle Bliss.  The characters are so bad ass and some of the greatest, most charitable,  compassionate and passionate people I've met in any story.

Her, Mia, dedicated to her career as a doctor, she has a very altruist personality as she works at an ER and runs a clinic to help get medical treatment to the less fortunate.

Him, Michael, a piercer at the Gallo family tattoo parlor, an MMA fighter, a man whore turned pussy cat, and the man of her dreams, the one that would do anything in his power to make her the happiest woman alive.

Great family dynamics, as the Gallo's are a very happy, caring and loving family, one that doesn't leave their own behind for anything.

Of course trouble threatens Michael and Mia's relationship,  and it comes in the form of a coo coo girl who sees in her mind, that Michael and her an item and much more.

Don't miss this book, is a must read as is the first one in this series,Throttle Me, the story of another Gallo brother, City (Joe) and how he got back the faith in women by finding the girl of his life Suzy, a teacher from their town in Florida.  Must read them in order.

Great story, amazing characters. First Book I read from this author and have to say she didn't disappoint.

City, a bad ass Tattoo artist, leather clad with a thing for Harleys.  Suzy a teacher, and graduate student with very little sexual experience.

Will City convince her they belong together, will she be able to look pass all her insecurities, and let herself discover a new women within.  Will she pass at her opportunity to know the love she never had, until now?

Loved this book, and I know you'll enjoy it too. A must read. Great supportive family.

Bound to You Volume 2 - The review

                           THE REVIEW
Did I get what I was looking for after I was done with Volume 1 of Bound to You?, you can say yes, and then some. This stories are jot long, yet they're packed with mouth watering,  panty dropping scenes that compete wit the best of them. We get a more possessive,  domineering, controling, but at the same time vulnerable, Nicholas.
In the meantime Becca's hearts and body are melting by the helplessness she feels when she finds herself in front of a crying, vulnerable, lost Nicholas.
And needless to say,  sparks fly again between this 2 again. But there ar threats to a relationship that's may be just being contemplated. Will their feelings overpower and prevail above all adversities. Will Nicks father's threats and the woman that's obsessed with him crush everything that could be? Or will it all start tumbling down because of a visit from Becca's past?  Well I hope I intrigued uou enough, because I'm not telling you'll have to find out for youself.
It is great to find that the book your reading is even better than its predecessor.  Don't miss this beautiful and HOT story, it's great Vanessa Booke doest it again.  Now I will onlynask, will we get a book or two telling us Tristan, Emily and Carol's stories? I know you will wi sh for the same when you read this series.  ENJOY, and til next time.

BY VANESSA BOOKE

Do I Want More Bound To You Hell Yeah!!!!

Rebecca is a young girl that just got out of a relationship with a m cheating looser that used his career to justify his infallible actions.  Needless to say I automatically felt hate towards slime ball Miles, and fell in love with Rebecca's character.  She is somewhat insecure about her curvy figure, but proves later to be a sassy, sexy, curvy woman capable of turning the heads of the most eligible bachelors, even when our heroine doesn't even realize it.

In between all the chaos in Rebecca's life, she has the opportunity to extricate herself from the mess Miles left her in by going to interview for a position in one of US most important publishing houses, based in New York City.  On the plane she meets sexy, alpha, domineering Nicholas and sparks fly (almost literally).

Fate being the bitchy lady she is, have them meeting for a second time the same day, but not under the best circumstances, even though the electricity is palpable when they touch. Could they be able to avoid each other?? Will fate keep playing tricks on this two!!!!!

I'm a mom and even I want to strangle Becca's mom for playing her like that, and by the way the same goes for Nicholas' dad.

Definitely can't wait to read the second book of this series.  Almost finished the whole book in one sitting.

This is the first book I read from author Vanessa Booke, and I have to say to her: keep them coming please.  If the rest are going to be as good as this one you have a fan for life.  The story though short was well thought and well written, very entertaining and funny sometimes.  The characters are beautifully created and I'm as in love with some of them as much as I hate others, which means they all achieved the author's purpose and she has reached our expectations with the story.

Joe Fox is the eye of the hurricane in his band Affliction. His best friend Jake West ran into big trouble having problems in dealing with his fame. So Joe to the rescue, but sadly there's nobody that is available for Joe to be able to calm the storms brooding inside him.

In comes Miss. Storm, no pun intended, all shy, introverted and very messed up by something that happened in her past. But, needless to say she turns his world upside down.

The characters are well developed, I like that we are not able to miss other characters we love, because is all so well related to the main characters.

The issues the characters have are relatable.  Even though the mighty Joe Fox, is well, and Fox is a down to earth guy walking to do everything to get and retain the woman he loves. And even though she is ready to run as if her life depended on it, he is not going to let her go.  I LOVE Joe's personality,  he is sick and deviant in bed but is such a gentleman, a sweet guy a very stand up guy, and that was a big surprise to find out about him.

Amity Cross is a great story teller. It shows in this story.  Keep it up, I predict is gonna be a very long ride and a great career as a writer. This series is just the beginning,  we're gonna be hearing from you for a long, long time. Congrats on a job well done.
