Now, this is what I call an unusual relationship, fun, and no commitment, but what happens when a name changes everything. Derek has lived a very difficult life since he was a young boy. How can a few minutes change your life and the lives of those that surround you? And why is it happening again? Because of that fatal moment years ago Derek has spent his life running, without a place to call home, because what was home he lost when he was seven years old. Now he calls home Denver, Colorado where the Montgomery siblings employed him as a full-time tattoo artist and also where his mother lives. How he lived his life? On the run. No attachments, yet a lot of pain.

Olivia has a very sad and hidden past, she new lost when she was only 6 years old. Her best friend in the whole world was killed he went to the biggest trauma a child could go through. She was so affected by it that she even blocked part of what happened that sad day. She has no relationships, yet when she met D, she couldn't make herself leave, she would see him, even if she was only able to do so once a month, same place same day every single month, for the past four years they had met. Until the day D told her to call him by his name, Derek. That name brought back such dark and bad memories, she couldn't believe that D was the Derek she knew years ago, She had to leave and end it all, she couldn't face him. It was too much.

The book was really good, and I was left wanting more. Derek was the character I was waiting to know the whole story of from the Montgomery Ink series, and while I loved the resolution of it, I still needed more from Derek and Olivia. As short as it was, it still was a fantastic read.
