I started reading this book on December 4th really late during the date and honestly thought I wasn't gonna be able to finish it on time to write this review, well, guess what I finished it yesterday, it was late hence why I am posting the review today. It is crazy to think that Victoria Ashley almost didn't finished this book, why, it has me thinking still. The story telling is amazing and the way this characters are portrayed is done with so much compassion. The perfectly raised kids meet the less fortunate ones. Micah had a rough upbringing, so when he meets Alexander they become really good friends, and it is a strange concept of friendship since Micah in our minds shouldn't be someone that should have such big trust laid upon him by Alexander, a guy that obviously has huge trust issues. I am guessing we will learn why in an upcoming story, hint hint Victoria Ashley. Did I mentioned there's a relationship between Micah and a certain hottie from Walk of Shame, as if I was going to tell you who. You know what to do, click on the link bellow so you can get it a and find out. Alexander's sister Tegan is due to visit him during the Summer and that trust that Alexander has on Micah will really be put to the test?
Tegan is a writer and she lives with her best friend Whitney in Wisconsin, a place that she is so ready to get out of, so when she turns 21 and is time for her to be able to move, upon her parents rules, her mom makes her promise that she will wait a few more years to do so. What will happen when she gets to her entrepeneur brother's house. Will her promise to her parents be kept? Will something happen that will make her want to stay in California for good? Tegan has an amazing relationship with her brother Alexander, he is a little bit overprotective. Will this alpha brother let his sister breath and be happy? The answers to all this questions will be found as soon as you read this amazing book by Victoria Ashley.
One of the things I like the most about Victoria's writing is the ability she has to bring this stories to live. to make you feel love, hate, compassion, and many more feelings towards the characters she writes about. Is like in this book Jamie and Whitney I feel like they would be my besties, loved this two. The subjects she treats in this book are dealt with so carefully and thoughtfully that is inevitable for you to not try to understand what they went through, or are going through and put yourself in their place and feel what they feel.
