REVIEW: HELL ON HEELS BY ANNE JOLIN

BETH'S REVIEW

HELL ON HEELS
BY ANNE JOLIN

5 STARS

This is a very personal story and I the reason I say that is because is palpable the care Anne Jolin puts in this characters.  At first sight you think Charleston is simply an insecure, scared young woman.  As you get into the story is clear that Charleston is a heroine that carries the burden of a huge loss early in life.

To live after one the most important people in your life decides to leave you is hard, when this person is family is even worse.  Addiction and depression are monsters and Charleston is a brave 21st century "knight" that fights to try and slay this monsters from the lives of so many people.

This is an amazing story on how we all deal in very different ways with the situations life throws at us.  In the end it is abou
t surviving, helping our loved ones survive.  Finally, understanding that despite it all you have to live your own life to the fullest while always carrying the love we feel for those we lost.

It will make you cry, but will give you a better understanding of the survivors, those that decided to live no matter what.  This book is compelling, and will bring all your emotions to the surface. Excellently written by Anne Jolin.
