Title: ODIN
(The Gods of Wrath Security Agency #1)
(The Gods of Wrath Security Agency #1)
Author: Michelle McLoughney
Navy Seal Odin Byrne believes in two things, the SEAL code of honor and the ability of his Team. When he loses one of his brothers-in-arms, he loses part of himself.
Starting afresh with his Team and back home in Boston, Odin has only one focus, his uncle Declan’s security and detective agency, ‘The Gods of Wrath’. A new team member is the last thing Odin wants, especially an ex-con who is hot as hell and mouthy to boot. Fighting for control of his agency, his heart, and his damn hormones, isn’t easy. When a new case threatens those closest to him, Odin must work with his adversary to bring a murderer to justice. Simple, apart from the memory of his lips on hers, and that one hot night.
Jasmine McCarthy is starting a new life in Boston. After three years in an Irish prison for a crime committed by her ex-husband, she craves a new start, a new chance. When her friend Declan Byrne gifts her a part of his agency, Jasmine sees it as her duty to join the team and follow his wishes, regardless of the opinion of her formidable new boss, Odin Byrne. The pig-headed arrogant Ex-SEAL would be a lot easier to ignore, if she hadn’t already had a taste.
Jasmine and Odin want nothing more than to stay the hell away from each other, if only chemistry and fate would play ball…
I have to say that I have really missed Michelle McLoughney's writing so much. In this book you will literally find all, there is action suspense, drama, sexy Marines and a feisty red head that will have Odin going crazy.
We can identify two parts on this book, a very much needed introduction of the characters, that helps you understand this characters better as you get to the core of the book. When we see the struggle that Odin have talking and accepting his feelings vs Declan's decision.
The chemistry between Jasmine and Odin is off the charts sexy. Seeking dominance is important to Odin as control is to Jasmine.
Love that there is so much in the backstory of Jasmine and Odin, painful, for different reasons, but it is clear that their suffering has shaped the man and the woman they are in their present.
We have a group of Marines working with the Gods of Wrath security agency, Odin being their leader. It is a family business but Declan, Odin's uncle have a surprise for all of them. It is an amazing book that all should read. Will this two really decide to be together? Will their past be a hurdle in their path. You absolutelu need to buy this book and find out.
Congratulations Michelle on an amazing story.
