SBL: What one author is your go to author to read?

SM: Kallypso Masters

SBL: When did you know you wanted to write books?

SM: I've always loved writing but I've really wanted to write a book for about the last 2-3 years.

SBL: Who in your life has given you inspiration?

SM: My husband. All of my men I write about have a little bit of him in them.

SBL: What scenes do you find the hardest to write?

SM: The hardest ones so far are the emotional ones. I've cried a few times writing them.

SBL: What one snack do you eat while writing?

SM: Twizzlers makes mouth happy.

SBL: What does your family think about you writing?

SM: My oldest daughter has been inspired to write a book of short stories and my husband has been bragging he gets to sleep with an author now. I'd say all around they are proud of me.

SBL: Three things you would take with you if you were on a deserted island. And Why?

SM: I would take:
1. Something to start a fire bc I wanna keep warm.
2. A notebook to write a journal in case I die before I'm found or to sell when I'm rescued.
3. My husband so we get a vacation from the world.

SBL: Besides being an author full time what would be your dream job?

SM: I was going to school for teaching but realized recently how much I love photography.

SBL: Where you do you get your inspiration for your books?

SM: I was a military brat growing up and then married a soldier so I've met a lot of crazy characters over the years.

SBL: Past or present one person you would like to meet and why?

SM: My father. I've never met him and I'd love the opportunity just to meet him.

SBL: What book could you read over and over again?

SM: Amber Flame by Hannah Howell

SBL: Favorite movie of all time?

SM: The Labyrinth

SML: Favorite music to listen to?

SM: 80's Hair Bands

SBL: Are you working on any new books? If yes can you give us a little teaser?

SM: I just sent book two of The Fate Series to the publisher and I'll be starting book three soon.

SML: Where would you like to be with your writing in five years?

SM: In my dream world I'd have the Fate series on the best seller list as well as the other two series I have planned.

SBL: How would you describe your self and your writing style?

SM: I write for me. Basically if I would love to read it I write it. I'm first and foremost a book fangirl

SBL: If given the opportunity to work with other writers, name five writers you would die to work with.

SM: Dawn Sullivan, Dawne Walters, Kallypso Masters, Vicki Green, and t.h. Snyder.

SBL: Are you planning on attending author events if so which ones?

SM: Yes, I have my first author signing event scheduled for February 7th in Austin. Deep in the Heart Author event.

SBL: Which authors would you go completely "fangirl" on if you met them?

SM: OMG, there are so many. I've met a few of my faves recently and I totally went fangirl on them. Sorry Hilary, Stacy, and Chelle. Haha, but Kallypso Masters is like my #1, and I might pass out when I meet her.

SBL: How has this journey of having you first book published been?

SM: Its been a crazy journey. It all began when I joined a fb group called Romance Bytes. Its full of these amazing women who support each other(Nelly, Wendy, Nikki, Dava, Melissa, Ashley, Michelle, and Beth). I posted an idea for a new book and suddenly they were all telling me to do it. I met Dawn Sullivan a fellow author who put me in touch with Kingsnake Publishing in this group. It was also there that I found the best damn PA an author could ask for and an even better bff in Beth Diaz she's helped me brainstorm, edit, and kept me straight when I might go crazy
