***NEW AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT - AMY-BETH***

AMY~BETH

SBL: What is or are your go to author(s)?

AB:  Oh, this is a though one, I have two authors I absolutely love. Raine Storm and Sandi Lynn

SBL:  when did you knew you wanted to write books?

AB:  To be completely honest, I have always wanted to write.  I just never thought I was good enough, my sister is the writer in our family.  I was quite happy to read and review, then a couple of friends read one of my WIP's, and told me I should release it...So I did :-)

SBL:  Who in your life has given you inspiration?

AB:  Paul inspires me, he always says "as long as our happy, then we're ok".

(Isn't he a great partner)

SBL:  What scenes do you find the hardest to write?

AB:  I do have a book I am working on, it won't be ready till some time in 2015.  It is about a child abuse camp, now I enjoy writing dark, twisted books...however this one I am finding a little difficult.  I make myself really with what I have written, so I can only do it in stages.

SBL:  What's one snack you eat while writing?

AB:  I'm obsessed with Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.  My God, they're to die for!!

SBL:  What does your family think about your writing?

AB:  Haha, well I would have to say mixed feelings.  Although they push me to do whatever I want to do in life, I am told on a regular basis I write smut.  So I have a dirty imagination, I can't help what the characters would like me to write.  It's there story, I am just there for the ride.

SBL:  Tell us three things you would take with you if you were on a deserted island. And why?

AB:  My phone, I need access to Facebook at all times.  I can not go too long without checking in.  Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, when I say obsessed, I really do mean it.  I would love Paul (my partner) to be with me.  He could keep me entertained, with his stupidity at times.

SBL:  Besides being an author full time what would be your dream job?

AB:  I would love to be a teacher, I enjoy working with children.  I am a qualified Teaching Assistant, I just could never bring myself to study at college for my full teaching degree.

SBL:  Where do you get your inspiration for your books?

AB:  Life in general inspire me, people I meet and talk too everyday.  Family, if you read my Mistaken Series, you might find some of those who are close to me, ended up in the books one way or another.

SBL:  Past or present, one person you would like to meet. And why?

AB:  I think I would like to meet family members I have never met and who I rarely know anything about.

SBL:  What book could you read over and over again?

AB:  Hands down, Sandi Lynn's Forever Trilogy... I am obsessed with all her books, however the Forever Trilogy and Forever Novella's I just love.  Her story line is amazing, Ellery is a firecracker and she just doesn't give up.  Oh, then there is the main man Connor Black... I am yet to find out BBF to replace him.  not even my own could do it.

(I think we might have to get ourselves the Forever Trilogy to meet Mr. Black)

SBL:  Favorite movie of all time...

AB:  Nightmare before Christmas, I love this film...Iknow ir word for word, and drive everyone mental singing the songs.

SBL:  Favorite music group to listen to...

AB:  I love all music, but if I had to pick, I am a real 80's and 90's baby.  Specially when the Christmas songs are actual Christmas songs.

SBL:  Are you working on any new books?  If yes, can you give us a little teaser?

AB:  I am currently working on two at the moment, the characters seem to start telling me one story them move on to the other.  However, there's a little snippet from Christmas with a Dragon.

"Christmas is for the delusion ones in this world, surely someone at your age should have grown out of such nonsense years ago."

"True as that may be Mr James, but Christmas is a magical time of year. It’s where one can truly engulf themselves in spirit, be happy in their lives when most days are filled with darkness. You can watch the children believe in the magic and their eye all a glow with thoughts of Santa and reindeers.

You can spend time with family and friends, sharing in the laughter over games and stories of christmases past. You sound very Scrooge about the matter Mr James."

"Bar-humbug" I growl into the phone before disconnecting the line.

SBL:  Where would you like to be with your writing in five years?

AB:  Honestly, I would be happy staying where I am right now with my writing.  I mean I love writing and I would never want to lose that passion.  It'll be nice to do many book signings around the world and meet more fans.

SBL:  Give me three reasons to buy the Mistaken Series books

AB:  If you want to read something that will grip your attention, have you second guessing the actions of those around you and lead you to hell and back. Then this book is for you.

This is my baby, and I want to share my baby with you all.

I want to push the boundaries of those who wouldn't necessarily take on a book like this. One of my beta readers wasn't comfortable with these stories. They were out of her comfort zone but she loved them. I believe you need to take a leap of faith and just go for it. You could be surprised.

SBL:  How would you describe yourself and your writing style?

AB:  I would describe my writing style as sassy, I don't write weak women.  We have attitudes, sass, and know how to work it to our advantage.  My female leads, have a little of me, when they sass, it's me.  I am friendly, loyal I always crack jokes.  Oh, and love the man candy ;-)

SBL:  If given the opportunity to work with other writers, name five writers you would die to work with...

AB:  Sandi Lynn, Raine Storm, Lili Saint Germain, Callie Hart, and Harper Sloan.

SBL:  Are you planning on attending author events?  If so, which ones?

AB:  I will be doing my first author event in Birmingham July 17th-19th 2015, and I am hosting an event that a blog I work closely with, are hosting next year.

SBL:  Which authors would you go completely "fangirl" on, if you met them?

AB:  Sandi Lynn hands down, that woman knows how much I love her work...I think I would pass out if I ever met her.  But all authors I will completely "fangirl" for, specially Raine Storm, and I'm pretty close friends with him.  But to be in person with them, I think would truly be different.

About the Author

Amy-Beth is a upcoming new author after releasing her debut novel Mistaken Identity which was published September 2014. After reading books from her favourite authors she decided to take the bull by the horns and get the story that has been driving her crazy for years out there.

Amy lives with her partner in crime Paul in Wigan, England and have been living there for many years. At 27yrs old she doesn't stop with promoting other authors and getting their books out to the public and working in her part-time job as a supervisor.

Reading has always been a passion and every opportunity to read is taken, even when she’s on holiday. Books whether reading, writing or reviewing have always come first to everything else in her life, unless Vampire Diaries or The Original’s are on the telly. You could ask Paul he would only confirm that fact.

Amy has a love of Reece’s peanut butter cups and root beer oh and don't forget the crunchy cheetos. Never finds herself off Facebook, which then gets her P.A Lisa sending her messages to get off and get back to writing. She counts on all her friends to keep her going and blow of steam with.
