“I have more than I’d learned to be satisfied with for a long time. A bed, a shower every day, warm water—it’s more than enough. More than I deserve…” Her last words are so faint, I almost miss them. The meaning behind them seems clear. She feels a great amount of guilt over something. I haven’t missed the occasional flashes of blatant pain I see in her eyes, nor have I missed the wistful glances she sends in the kid’s direction. That coupled with her initial reaction when she met Dex first has me thinking she’s left something very precious behind.
For a moment she seems so forlorn, I react instinctively and pull her up from her seat and into my arms where she stiffens at the contact.
“Hush. It’s just a hug,” I whisper into her hair that barely touches my chin. Damn, she smells good, and with the angles softening on her body, she feels fucking fantastic in my arms. I feel her relax a little and tentatively her arms slip around my waist and her cheek presses against my chest. “When you need to unburden some of what you’ve been carrying around, I’m right here.” Without thinking I press a kiss on her head.

Freya Barker craved reading about 'real' people, those who are perhaps less than perfect, but just as deserving of romance, hot monkey sex and some thrills and chills in their lives – So she decided to write about them. Always creative, from an early age on she danced and sang, doodled, created, cooked, baked, quilted and crafted. Her latest creative outlets were influenced by an ever-present love for reading. First through blogging, then cover art and design, and finally writing. Born and raised in the Netherlands, she packed her two toddlers, and eight suitcases filled with toys to move to Canada. No stranger to new beginnings, she thrives on them. With the kids grown and out in the world, Freya is at the ‘prime’ of her life. The body might be a bit ramshackle, but the spirit is high and as adventurous as ever. “You okay over there?” It looked like he had ants in his pants.

“I’m hard as a fucking rock thinking about fucking you.” He growled low in his throat. The sound was so sexy, and mixed with his words, a new rush of wetness settled between my legs.

“I want that,” I responded a bit breathlessly.

“Yeah?”

I nodded and swallowed hard when his hand resumed petting me through my pants, but this time higher. Each pass of his finger against my swollen lips made me want to moan. I craved skin on skin contact with this man something fierce.

“Jax?” I breathed out when he started doing circular motions that had me widening my legs.

“Mmmmm,” he mumbled against the skin of my neck as his lips tormented me there.

“Can I touch you?” My hand tentatively reached out and pressed against the bulge straining behind his zipper. His hips rose up, pressing him more firmly into my hand.

Removing his hand from between my legs, resulting in a small protest slipping from my lips, he deftly undid his button and zipper. He pulled himself from the confines of his damp jeans and placed my hand on his rather large erection. He was hot, silky, and smooth. Sheer perfection in my hand.

He growled in the back of his throat as I softly explored him. His head fell back on the headrest and his hands tightened into tight fists on his thighs. I chanced a quick glance over at him. A look of pain flitted across his features, but when he shouted, “Holy fuck,” as I swiped my hand over the head, I knew it was an exquisite pain he was feeling.

Change Rein is a fast paced book... It tells us the story of London and Branson...

Once her Olympic career is finished by an accident in a competition, London returns to her family's house after 3 years of being absent. As soon as she gots there is work in the horse farm they own.

Branson is a Real State Tycoon, that lives near by, yet his real passion lies in his barn full of race horses. He has seen London, and liked her a lot from her interviews in TV. Branson get everything he sets his mind to...will London be the one exception.

This man is like a lion, he strikes with all his might, he is gorgeous, successful, and a gentleman, good in the sac you ask? well you have to buy Change Rein and added to your amazon library.

As always happens with Anne Jolin's books, you are left asking yourself, why isn't she done with the next? Even when it is a short story and it is fast paced, it has a good plot and it is very cohesive.. Amazing writing yet again by Anne Jolin.

After helping her up onto the tailgate, I grab the wine and two glasses. When I join her in the bed of the truck, I pour us each a cup and then lift my glass up to hers for a toast.

“Here’s to first dates.”

After clinking her cup with mine, she takes a delicate sip, and the rumble in my chest comes unexpectedly as she swallows the wine.

As if on cue, the radio changes, and the first twangs of Jackson Young’s “If It Ain’t Too Much To Ask” drift out across the lake.

After we set our cups down on the edge of the truck bed, her arms wrap around my neck. My palm splays over her lower back as I tuck the sweetness of her body against mine.

“You makin’ it a habit of wooing me with your dancin’ skills, cowboy?” She laughs, and the way it mixes with the song has to be the most heavenly thing I’ve ever heard.

My cheek brushes hers as we dance closer. “That depends.”

“On?” Her breath whispers against my ear.

“If it’s working or not.”

She laughs again, and with God as my witness, I’m a lucky bastard to be holding her right now. “It might be,” she teases.

Her body was made for mine. Pressed together, we’re even more perfect. Strawberry wine dousing our inhibitions in wild desire.

The chorus to the song is coming up, and knowing I don’t suck at least half as much as she does, I sing softly into her ear, albeit still out of tune. She joins me, singing adorably off tune into my ear. “I know it ain’t an easy life, people can tell you that”—She hums along, folding her body closer around mine—“but to ask for a little bit, just a little bit back, If it ain’t too much to ask..”

“If it ain’t too much to ask,” her voice sings adorably off tune into my ear.

I chuckle, and she reaches down to elbow me in the side before her eyes find mine once again.

“If it ain’t too much to ask, cowboy…I could really go for that kiss right about now.” She tries to sing along with the song, but by adding her own words, she fails miserably.

But it’s the thought that counts.

Do I hate that she felt she had to ask for it? Bet your ass I do. Will it stop me from giving her what she wants? Not a chance in hell.

Tipping my invisible cowboy hat towards her with one hand, I put the other in the hair at the base of her neck. “Nothing you ask will ever be too much, London.” With that, I give in to the greatest temptation I’ve ever had and every desire I’ve ever dreamed of.

It’s only with unique restraint that I’m able to keep my lips from fully crashing down onto hers. Instead, I take her softly, certain I’ve died and gone to heaven at the first taste of her. When she whimpers, the greed in me takes the opportunity to slip my tongue into her mouth, claiming all she’ll give me. Her hands pull at the base of my neck, desperate to have me closer as the heat in our kiss grows deeper as the song comes to a close.

After breaking apart, I rest my forehead on hers, running my thumb across her bottom lip. Then I sing the very last line, holding her close.

I kissed the prettiest girl I’ve every laid eyes on while dancing on the tailgate of my truck in the middle of nowhere, and it was the best thing that’s ever happened to me.
